Comics Twitter might have devolved into a fight club this week but the Longbox prefers to avoid drama. This podcast cares about comics and on this week’s show, Matt and Tyler are pleased to see continuity acknowledged. Your favorite hosts might not support the prison-industrial complex but it was wonderful to see Beast put behind bars after years of crime to the timeline. Break out those headphones, listeners, the podcast goes pundit this week with full coverage of the Prisoner X, Meet the Skrulls, Doomsday Clock, and more!
Comics are so last week. Here at the Longbox we are now talking exclusively video games because the E3 hype is REAL. Also, comics don't have Waluigi so what's the point. It’s late spring in the industry so the titles are ripe for the picking. New Thor? Check. New Plastic Man? Check. So enough about our podcast empire, let’s talk about comics.
Listen, we know what you’re thinking. We get it, the industry is on fire. People are breaking into stores and the last thing you need are more white guys expressing their opinions from their parents’ basement. We love comics and we’re as tired of seeing grown adults cry about them online as much as everyone else. So we hope you’ll give us a shot this week as we talk about a lot of the books we’re enjoying.
Cover your feet and tie up your kimonos, listeners, because the Longbox boys are back. This week, Matt and Tyler tackle a lot of Marvel and possibly the worst issue reviewed on this show of 2018. (New Age of Heroes? More like New Age of Zeroes! Ha! We can hear you groaning from here, taste the bad jokes, plebe!) Tentacle Gang rides on so break out those headphones and let the sweet, sweet comics criticism cruise down those ear holes.
