After what feels like forever, Matt and Tyler return to the weekly format! They planned the usual show: ten books, questions, the works. And you know what, listeners? The entire show was spent on Marvel #1000. Thank Al Ewing and friends, tendrils, because this week on The Longbox Podcast, all 80 pages of the book are reviewed in the span of one episode!
Three weeks into 2019 and the Longbox Discord has taken command of the show. The audience demanded answers to questions even Matt and Tyler were shocked to read. Tentacle gang is alive and well and the comics are excellent so far. Be prepared, listeners, this episode of the Longbox is one you’re going to want headphones for.
It’s taken three years but Tyler and Matt have finally achieved something they’ve wanted to do since the very first recording of The Longbox. The very first “Best of” episode debuts this week! It’s got all the things you love about the weekly show but with more wrestling, video games, movies, and television. Plug in, friendos, it’s long and it’s good and the very last comics podcast you need to listen to in 2018.
At its core, Longbox Podcast is about more than just comics. It’s a celebration of over ten years of friendship and trust. When Tyler and Matt get a bad case of ligma, will it all get torn apart? Can they review the debut issues of Action Comics, Mr and Mrs X, and the New Order or will they learn to speak sugandese. Find out this week on a new episode of Longbox Podcast!
Comics are so last week. Here at the Longbox we are now talking exclusively video games because the E3 hype is REAL. Also, comics don't have Waluigi so what's the point. It’s late spring in the industry so the titles are ripe for the picking. New Thor? Check. New Plastic Man? Check. So enough about our podcast empire, let’s talk about comics.
Listen, we know what you’re thinking. We get it, the industry is on fire. People are breaking into stores and the last thing you need are more white guys expressing their opinions from their parents’ basement. We love comics and we’re as tired of seeing grown adults cry about them online as much as everyone else. So we hope you’ll give us a shot this week as we talk about a lot of the books we’re enjoying.
